800℃ 0.7mm 600g/m2 1.2x1.8m Fiberglass High Silica Cloth Fire Blanket
Fire blanket is made from high temperature of fiberglass fabric. Normal fiberglass fabric can only withstand a temperature of 550℃. But this 0.7mm high silica cloth which is woven from high purity, high strength amorphous silica fibers is capable of withstanding 800℃ heat. This material high silica cloth is a very strong but also flexible cloth. It is a kind of inorganic fibre fabric with more than 96% content of silica SiO2. The softening point of this silica fabric is close to 1000℃. It can be used in a temperature of 800℃ continuously. What's more, the instantaneous temperature of 1200 degree Celsius. It is an ideal high temperature material, which is heat resistant, abrasion resisant and also will anti most chemical acids.
Weight per unit of this fabric is 600g/m2, 17.7oz. Its thickness is 0.7mm(0.028"). Yarn count per cm is 18/13. Weave type of this high silica cloth is 8HS satin weave. In fact satin weave is more stable than the plain weave and is easier to conform to curved surfaces typical in reinforced plastics. In this weave pattern 8HS(eight harness satin), there is a seven-by-one interfacing where a weft yarn floats over seven warp yarns and under one. If you want 12 harness satin, it can be high silica cloth 1200g 1.3mm with 12HS.

High silica cloth is a kind of fiberglass fabric which has surface treatment, thicker, heavier and stronger features. It provides better durability and higher resistance to heat impact from welding sparks. Non hairy and its surface treatment prevents irritation to be exposed skin common in other fiberglass fabric and asbestos clothes, so won't feel a lot itching when touch it. Reduce the overall impact temperature and prevent burn through. It is woven from fiberglass yarn(with high SiO2) content with specially surface treatment. It is a economical fabric which can be used under continuous use at 800°C, and it can bear short term exposure up to 1000-1200°C.
