Fiberglass fabrics feature different weaves as noted:
Plain Weaves—The plain weave consists of yarns interlaced in an alternating fashion, one over and one under every other yarn. The plain weave provides good fabric stability
Twill Weaves—The twill is used where tightly woven fabric with high density is required. The twill weave is characterized by a diagonal rib or twill line. The warp yarn floats over at least two consecutive picks, permitting more yarns per unit area.
Satin Weaves—The four-harness satin weave is more pliable than the plain weave and is easier to conform to curved surfaces typical in reinforced plastics. In this weave pattern there is a three by one interlacing, where a fill yarn floats over three warp yarns and under one.
No matter which weave you select, all the fiberglass fabrics on our site are made to be used with resin. When combined, fabric and resin form a chemical bond that results in a hard, composite part, like a boat hull, that we often refer to as being fiberglass.
Our offered fabrics is provided with plain weave, leno weave, twill weave and satin weave as per the requirements of our esteemed customers. Available in diverse thicknesses and sizes, which can be customized as per the demands of customers.
Technically, it is a fiberglass composite. Fiberglass composites are frequently used for marine, aerospace, and structural applications.Scroll down for more general KEVLAR information. To learn more about specific products and pricing, Contact us directly with email address.
